  General Directions:
   
  Echo Test is a simulation of the PTEeXAM and about 1/3-1/2 in length, question number, and video numbers of the normal PTEeXAM.
   
  Echo test occurs in two parts.  Part #1 will be the video portion of the exam.  Part #2 will be the Question/Answer portion of the exam.  You can take a break after the video exam section, then you can finish the Question/Answer portion of the exam.
   
  Each part of the Exam will take 1 hour to complete.   Once you start you cannot stop so please allow one hour of uninterrupted time to take each part of the exam.
   
  Each Exam is timed.
Do the exam with the browser maximized so it fills a monitor display of 1024x768 .
Don't run any other applications while taking the exam.
If you have a Windows machine - we recommend a fresh reboot prior to starting the exam.
   
  Video Exam Directions (Part 1)
   
  The video exam has 60 question and allows one minute per question.  Since the video is streamed please use a DSL or cable modem connection to prevent delays in the video displaying.  It will take about 2-3 second for the video to download and play.  2-3 seconds have been added to the video questions so you will have a full 60 seconds to answer the question.   Please do the sample exam prior to taking the exams to check how well your system will work with the web site.  There are no refunds once you start to take the exam.  You cannot go back to prior videos or questions in the video part of the exam.  You can go back in the second part of the exam.

  Question & Answer (Text)(Part 2) Exam Directions
   
 

There are 80 questions to be answered in 60 minutes which is about 45 seconds per question.  Please remove all tempting materials from your eyesight.  You are only allowed a non-programmable calculator with basic mathematical functions.  Some questions will only take a few seconds whereas some questions may take several minutes You are expected to have the formulas memorized.  No cheat sheet allowed. 

Some questions are grouped where a case is presented, sometimes with an image, and several questions will be related to the case presentation.  Case questions will occur on the same page and can be as much as 5 questions for the case.  Other pages will have only one question per page so be sure to answer all of the questions on each page. 

Your answer sheet will help you note your progress.  The answer sheet is at the bottom right of each page.  You can go to any question you like by clicking on the question number. Questions that have not been answered have a "NA" in the answer box and they contain a yellow background.

After you have finished you can grade your exam by clicking on grade exam.  If your exam time is up (times out) then it will be automatically graded. 

Take the sample exam for practice to prepare for the exam.  If you have any questions please email the webmaster.  Refunds are not allowed once you start the exam.  You cannot stop in the middle of the exam.   You must finish the exam or go until the exam times out.
